According to the Gaming Control Board, Louisiana mobile sports betting will launch on Friday. Many people have been asking about it since sports betting became legal in the state. Also, the first mobile sportsbook apps to launch are FanDuel, Caesars, BetMGM, BetFred, and DraftKings.
Sports betting at the on-location club in Louisiana launched in October. However, the mobile wagering apps took additional time. Players made more than 67 million bets at Louisiana’s on-location sportsbooks during November and December.
The Louisiana Gaming Control Board followed sports wagering figures at 11 sportsbooks running during those months. Eleven locations had a sum of 67.1 million total bets. Also, they made almost $10.1 million across the two months.

Louisiana Lottery CEO Rose Hudson said that the agency will accept proposals from vendors until February 15. Electors in 55 of Louisiana’s 64 wards endorsed authorizing sports wagering in their networks in the fall of 2020. However, regulators needed to set up the system and have them approved during the 2021 Spring Legislative Session.
